Steve Bannon Pleads Guilty and Gets Conditional Discharge

Steve Bannon, a longtime ally of Donald Trump, pleaded guilty to fraud charges, for which he was granted a three year conditional discharge with no prison sentence.

He was charged with pocketing money raised through his “We Build the Wall” scheme on false promises that he was fundraising for building a wall along the southern border.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg said Bannon is prohibited to do fundraising for or serve as “an officer, director, or in any other fiduciary position” for any charity that has assets in New York state. He is also not allowed to use, sell or possess data from donors to his scheme.
