State Department Bans Entry Visas for Transgender Visitors

Secretary of State Marco Rubio ordered USA consulates and embassies to ban entry visas for transgender applicants.

This is supposedly part of Donald Trump’s push to ban transgender females from competing in women’s sports worldwide.

Mainstream media portrayed this as a ban on transgender athletes entering the USA, but Rubio issued the ban using the 1952 Immigration and Nationality Act. The law declares people who lie on a visa application are permanently barred from ever entering the USA due to fraud. Rubio declared a visa application which does not match the sex of the applicant at birth is fraudulent. Obviously, this definition will not be confined to athletes seeking to attend a competitive event.
