RFK Jr. Pauses Development of COVID Vaccine in Pill Form

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services, paused a contract for development of a COVID vaccine in pill form, blocking clinical trials that were about to begin.

The project is for $460 million with Vaxart, of which $240 million was authorized for preliminary study. The company had 10,000 people ready to start clinical trials this coming Monday.
