Musk Team Has Access to NOAA IT & Searches DEI Program

Having taken over NOAA earlier in the week, Elon Musk’s DOGE team gained access to NOAA’s IT systems and began searching for everything and everyone associated with diversity, equity and inclusion.

Personnel changes are being made in the agency. Some NOAA websites went down Wednesday.

The Heritage Foundation’s blueprint for the new regime, Project 2025, calls for dismantling NOAA and privatizing portions of it such as the National Weather Service. Doing so is illegal without approval by Congress.
