Judge Blocks Transfer of 3 Transgender Women to Men’s Prisons

Federal District Judge Royce Lamberth granted a temporary restraining order blocking transfer of three transgender women to men’s prisons.

This case is separate from another in which a federal judge in Boston issued a similar restraining order for another transgender woman facing transfer to a men’s prison and discontinuation of gender-affirming medication.
