Judge Rules FBI Must Release Info About DJT Classified Documents Probe

| 0

District Court Judge Beryl Howell ruled that the FBI must search its records for information pertinent to an outstanding FOIA request and work toward its release.

The Freedom of Information Act request by journalist Jason Leopold had been stymied. Much of the information could not be released while it was being used to pursue criminal charges against Donald Trump for concealing classified records at Mar-a-Lago when he was no longer President.

Now that all charges against Trump have been dropped, he has criminal exposure but is less shielded from public scrutiny.

The FBI is to update Howell 20 February 2025 about the timeline for information release.
