Judge Reiterates Order to Unfreeze Foreign Aid

Federal District Court Judge Amir Ali reiterated his temporary restraining order for Donald Trump’s regime to release the appropriate foreign aid it has frozen. Most of the funds are still not flowing.

Ali warned that his initial order does not allow stoppage during contract reviews or wordsmithing by the government. The TRO “does not permit Defendants to simply continue their blanket suspension of congressionally appropriated foreign aid pending a review of the agreements for whether they should be continued or terminated. That is the very action that the Court temporarily enjoined.”

Ali stopped short of holding government officials in contempt for not complying with his initial TRO.
