Judge Blocks Portions of DJT’s Anti-DEI Anti-HBCU Executive Order

Federal District Court Judge Adam Abelson issued a preliminary injunction blocking most of Donald Trump’s executive orders terminating or changing federal contracts his regime deems related to diversity, equity or inclusion.

Trump signed EO 14151 when he first took office to end all “equity-related” federal grants and contracts, then EO 14173 which includes demanding that federal contractors certify they do not promote diversity, equity and inclusion.

Abelson found that the orders are likely to be unconstitutional, including against First Amendment rights.

His order specifically included restoring $19 million in scholarships for historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs).
