John Deere Shareholders Reject Demand for Demographic Data
Shareholders in John Deere, which backed off from diversity, equity and inclusion programs and cultural awareness events in 2024, rejected a proposal to unveil demographic data about its new employees.
The proposal came from the National Legal and Policy Center, a conservative think tank, which sought data it could use to allege discrimination against white people.
Shareholders also rejected other proposals from the National Center for Public Policy Research, which describes itself as a conservative think tank, and the American Family Association, which is anti-LGBTQ+.
