GSA Announces Sale of 443 Federal Assets

| 0

The General Services Administration announced it will dispose of (sell) more than 400 assets, mainly office buildings, that are owned by the federal government and have been labeled “non-core.”

Although the language used in the notice sounds like corporate justification for selling off outdated, unusable assets, there is no hint that the prices GSA will get for these properties will be near market levels rather than fire sale levels. If they are sold at bargain prices, this will be another asset transfer from taxpayers to add to the net worth of the wealthy.
