Hegseth Re-Renames a Fort

Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth undid the renaming of Fort Benning which honored a Confederate general to Fort Moore, but to make it legal he said it is now Fort Benning to honor a World War I soldier.

The fort is now supposedly renamed in honor of Corporal Fred G. Benning who was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for heroism in battle in 1918.
