Elon Musk Performs Nazi Salute at Inauguration Celebration

On stage in front of an inauguration celebration rally at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC, standing at a podium behind the Seal of the President of the USA, Elon Musk tapped his left chest with his right hand and then extended his right arm, making a classic Nazi salute. He did this twice. Far-right people in USA praised the salutes. His fans claimed it was a Roman salute, not a Nazi salute. No Roman text describes the salute. It arose in 18th century art and theatrical performances, and became adopted by Nazis in the 1930s in Germany.
