DOJ Removes 11 Guidelines for Businesses on Compliance with ADA

| 0

The Department of Justice removed from its website 11 guidelines for businesses in the USA about compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Removed content includes material about COVID-19, face masks and accessibility. Pages have been removed from the website or stripped of much of their content.

Since 1990, the ADA has been the main law protecting Americans with disabilities against discrimination. In 2017, Republicans put forward the ADA Education and Reform Act in Congress to make it harder for Americans with disabilities to sue businesses and employers for breaches of the ADA. The bill did not pass.
