DJT Wants More than Ukraine’s Rare Earth Minerals Before Restarting Aid and Intelligence Support

Donald Trump will not restart aid and intelligence sharing with Ukraine in return for getting only the natural resources deal he wants, in which he demands half the value of Ukraine’s rare earth minerals.

Trump also wants to force Ukraine’s President Zelenskyy to make concessions Trump has promised to Putin, such as Ukraine giving up territory to Russia. Trump also wants Zelenskyy to resign from office and call elections. The constitution in Ukraine suspends elections while under martial law.

As negotiations begin in Saudi Arabia about a peace treaty between Russia and Ukraine, Russia has taken advantage of Trump’s halt of aid and intelligence sharing to hammer Ukraine with even more intense attacks.

Access to Starlink for communications was also cut off for a while, drawing fury from Poland which pays for about half of Ukraine’s Starlink terminals at an annual cost of $50 million. Some Ukrainian military units report that since the satellite network became accessible for them again, as soon as they tap it, Russia begins precision attacks on their positions.

Ukraine is losing ground every day that Trump’s cutoff of help continues.
