DJT Pulls USA Out of World Health Organization
Donald Trump signed an executive order to pull the USA out of the World Health Organization 12 months from signing of the order.
The USA is the largest financial backer of WHO, a global United Nations public health entity. USA contributions, which constitute 18% of WHO’s budget, will end upon its withdrawal from the organization.
Trump accused WHO of mishandling the SARS-CoV-2 (COVID) pandemic and other international health issues. He also accused WHO of “ripping off” the USA.
This is his second effort to withdraw the USA from WHO. His first was in 2020.
