DJT Pardons Disgraced Former IL Governor Rod Blagojevich

Donald Trump pardoned Democratic former Governor Rod Blagojevich of Illinois.

In 2008, Blagojevich as Governor was responsible for appointing a replacement to fill the USA Senate seat vacated when Barack Obama became President. He essentially did all he could to sell the seat. He was convicted of corruption for that and other misdeeds.

During Trump’s first term in office, he commuted Blagojevich’s sentence. The pardon is on top of commutation.
