DJT Blocks Enforcement of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act
Donald Trump signed an executive order blocking enforcement of the 1977 Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
The law prohibits American companies from offering bribes to the governments of other countries. Newly appointed Attorney General Pam Bondi is directed to pause all prosecutions under this law while she writes new enforcement guidelines that do not put American businesses at a disadvantage to other businesses that offer bribes abroad.
