DJT Pardons Convicted Fraudster Trevor Milton of Nikola

Donald Trump pardoned Trevor Milton, the founder of electric vehicle startup Nikola, who was sentenced to prison last year for fraud and donated heavily to Trump’s re-election campaign.

Milton’s prison sentence was four years in prison for defrauding investors out of hundreds of millions of dollars by exaggerating what his technology could do. He was not yet in prison, pending the outcome of an appeal. His pardon could eliminate the possibility of restitution being sought by prosecutors on behalf of investors.

According to the Federal Election Commission, Milton and his wife donated $1.8 million to Trump’s campaign shortly before the November 2024 election that returned Trump to the White House.
