DJT Halts Refugee Entry, Cancelling Flights for 1660 Afghans

Shortly after his inauguration, Donald Trump suspended all refugee programs. Among those blocked from entry are 1660 Afghans due to fly the USA, including some who helped the fallen USA-backed Afghan government and were left at risk after the withdrawal arranged by Trump in his previous term of office.

Afghan refugees whose flights were cancelled include family members of USA military, unaccompanied minors seeking to rejoin their families. Thousands more Afghan refugees have also been cleared to resettle in the USA but were not yet scheduled on flights.
