DJT Halts Funding for National EV Charger Deployment

Donald Trump halted funding for the $5 billion National Electric Vehicle Infrastructure program, despite two existing judicial orders to lift freezes on federal funding.

The Federal Highway Administration took down web pages about this program and the $2.5 billion Charging and Fueling Infrastructure grant program.

Slowing down these programs gives Trump associate Elon Musk’s company Tesla an advantage in its market position. Tesla has its own charging point network.
