NSF Reclassified Hundreds of Employees from Permanent to Probationary for Easier Firing
The National Science Foundation reclassified hundreds of its federal employees from permanent to probationary status without notification.
Reclassification violated labor union contracts and made the workers vulnerable to being fired without due process.
This was brought to light by Congressional Representative Don Beyer (D-VA) in a letter to the NSF.
