CA Gov. Gavin Newsom Announces Podcast and Will Invite Guests Who Disagree With Him

Governor Gavin Newsom (D-CA) announced he is starting a podcast, and guests will include people he disagrees with from both major political parties.

He told Politico “We already know what our disagreements are with the MAGA movement. I want to understand what the motivations are, the legitimacy of those motivations, and just really understand where people are coming from.” He also wants to invite Democrats to challenge how the party approaches issues.

Newsom is regarded as a likely 2028 Democratic candidate for President. Democrats do not have a large presence among podcasts to counterbalance the vast ecosystem of conservative and far right podcasts and social media influencers.
