Brazil Charges Jair Bolsonaro with Attempted Military Coup

Brazil’s Attorney General Paulo Gonet charged former president Jair Bolsonaro and six associates with leading a far-right conspiracy to stay in office by military coup d’état.

Gonet said the plot included poisoning Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and shooting Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes. Gonet accused another 33 people of being involved in the plot.
