Biden Issues Preemptive Pardons

Shortly before inauguration of his successor, President Joe Biden issued preemptive pardons for several family members, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Gen. Mark Milley and members of the Congressional January 6th committee as well as their staff and officers who testified.

Biden said this should “not be mistaken as an acknowledgment” that any of those pardoned “engaged in any wrongdoing”. He said he issued the pardons to prevent “unjustified… politically motivated prosecutions.”
