Arkansas Becomes First Southern State to Offer Universal Breakfast to School Kids

Arkansas became the first Southern state, one of only a handful of states in the USA, to offer universal breakfast at no cost to children at school.

At least 425,000 children are affected.

Support for the program was led by Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, State Senators Jonathan Dismang and Clarke Tucker, State Representatives DeAnn Vaught, Zach Gramlich, Tippi McCullough. Co-sponsors include State Representatives Denise Firmin Garner, Denise Ennett, Ashley Hudson and many more.
