4 Year Old USA Citizen with Cancer Expelled Without Medical Care

When her mother attended a routine immigration check-in appointment, a 4 year old USA citizen with a rare type of metastatic cancer was expelled to Honduras along with her mother and 7 year old sibling, without medication or medical consultation.

They were taken by Immigration and Customs Enforcement on 24 April 2025 and deported 25 April. They were not allowed to speak with lawyers or family members.

This is at least the second deportation that has come to light recently which included sending a USA citizen who is a child with cancer to another country without regard for medical care, against what ICE says is its policy. It is also one of many deportations with no hint of substantive due process.
