For Businesses that Aren’t Huge

My consultancy clients have tended to be big organizations. It bothered me that smaller businesses felt they couldn’t use my help, so that is about to change. Bear with me for a couple of minutes and don’t bother guarding your wallet. You’ll only pay for the new service if it makes your wallet fatter by more than my fee.

Big companies brought me in for technical projects, then IT consultancy, then business consultancy. I see problems upside down and sideways. I often find solutions most people don’t see.

One of my favorites was unsticking an ambitious project that had been at a standstill for a year and a half. How? By converting what seemed to be its primary competitor into its primary ally.

That’s fine for big companies, but what about yours? If your business isn’t huge, you need to get worthwhile results quickly. You can’t afford the long timeline of a very large project or the unknowns in the big ambitions a giant might have.

Here’s what I will launch later this month, designed for businesses with annual revenue from 500k to 50 million.

We’ll start with a 45 minute virtual meeting. I’ll ask questions (relax, I’ll send you guidelines beforehand so you can prepare) and feed your answers into my software. When we’re done, you’ll get my recommendations for ways to improve your bottom line. We’ll both be able to see projected impact for each recommendation and the total projected result. If I don’t find at least 10k worth of bottom-line improvements (which is more than my fee by a few multiples), I’ll rip up my bill and the session will be free of charge.

By the way, I won’t simply tell you to throw more money at marketing and sales. Anybody could tell you that.

Your competitors will shrug if you engage a coach. They might pay more attention if you engage a space lady as a consultant. Let’s call this business coaching (wink, wink) and keep it low profile.

For many years, I’ve told audiences at my talks about working in the USA’s space program that before NASA can do rocket science, they have to do the fundamentals very very well… and you can do that, too. That’s where we will begin. Your risk will only be a little of your time. We can do more after the start if you want, or stop there. It’s up to you, and if you want more I’m happy with a rolling contract instead of a long term tie-in.

You’ve got a couple of weeks to think about it while I get ready to open the doors. I’m excited and eager to get into it, and wish I could throw the doors open this very minute.
