While we all wait for Saturday’s launch window for the historic crewed SpaceX mission to try again, there are other endeavors we can follow.

SpaceApps is an international hackathon to find ways to use NASA’s freely available data to tackle real-world issues. It’s been happening since 2012. Due to COVID-19, this year it’s happening in cyberspace 30-31 May and the target is the pandemic.

You can find out more about this year’s challenge at the SpaceApps Challenge website

Or you can find out about the SpaceApps challenge program in general at a NASA press release about it.
