Wisconsin AG Asks Court to Block Musk from Paying Voters

| 0

John Kaul, state Attorney General of Wisconsin, asked a court to stop Elon Musk from making $1 million gifts to voters in his quest to influence the election for a state Supreme Court seat.

Kaul said the payments violated state law.

The general learning of the court is at stake. The court is likely to take up cases involving abortion rights, labor unions, congressional redistricting and voting rules.

Musk previously offered $100 to voters who sign a petition in line with the campaign for the Republican candidate in the election. Today he escalated in a social media post, which he later deleted. He posted that he planned to pay $1 million each to a pair of voters who voted in the election. He said the recipients will be “spokesmen” for the online petition against “activist” judges, which implies that he would pay Republican voters.

Today his political action committee chose the first recipient of the million dollar windfall: a man who has posted pro-Trump material and donated to the conservative candidate for the state Supreme Court.
