USA, Japan, Hong Kong, UK and European Stock Markets Fall After DJT Starts Tariffs

| 0

Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, UK and USA tanked after Donald Trump imposed stiff tariffs on imports from Canada, China and Mexico over the weekend.

Currencies also wobbled. The pound sterling and Canadian dollar fell against the USA’s dollar before partially recovering as the euro began to show downward pressure.

Mainland Chinese stock markets are closed until Wednesday for the lunar new year.

Trump’s actions were widely called a “Trump tariff tantrum.”
