UN Security Council Hold Emergency Meeting Over USA Attack on Iran
The United Nations Security Council met in an emergency session regarding the USA injecting itself into war between Israel and Iran by carrying out a major air strike against three nuclear facilities in Iran.
Iran’s Ambassador to the UN, Amir Saeid Iravani, told the Security Council the USA had “decided to destroy diplomacy” with its stealth attack two days before negotiations with the USA about Iran’s nuclear program were due to resume. Iravani said the Iranian military will choose “timing, nature and scale” of a “proportionate response.”
