UK Freezes Processing of Asylum Claims from Syria
UK’s Home Office halted consideration of at least 6,600 asylum claims for Syrians the day after the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
An asylum claim can include more than one person, so the number of people affected is higher than the number of frozen claims. The Home Office said it needs to “assess the current situation.”
