Judge Blocks DJT from Putting USAID Workers on Administrative Leave

| 0

Judge Carl Nichols issued a temporary restraining order blocking the new regime’s directive putting 2,200 USAID workers on administrative leave. The 500 already placed on such leave are to be reinstated.

When Nichols asked Department of Justice lawyers the specified workers did to justify its abrupt adverse action, the DOJ said Secretary of State Marco Rubio should not have to provide an answer to the court.

The order is in place until 14 February 2025. Two days before then, Nichols has scheduled a preliminary injunction hearing.
