Incoming Trump Officials Screen NSC Civil Servants for Loyalty

Senior officials for the upcoming Trump administration have begun interviewing career civil servants working for the National Security Council to determine whether they are loyal to Trump.

Questions include who they voted for in 2024, political contributions, and social media activity (in particular, any “posts that could be considered incriminating”).

The incoming administration has indicated intentions to remove all NSC appointees and officials immediately at the start of the term and staff the NSC entirely with Trump loyalists.
