Texas House bill 3399 Would Ban Gender Affirming Care for Everyone

| 0

Texas House Bill 3399 would amend existing state law to ban gender affirming care and restrict hormone therapy and other medical care for everyone.

Various surgeries including vasectomies, hysterectomies, oophorectomies, metoidioplasties, orchiectomies, penectomies, phalloplasties, and vaginoplasties would be banned if they were for gender affirmation. Doctors who prescribe such hormone treatments as estrogen, testosterone, or puberty blockers would be fined or imprisoned if treatment was deemed to be for gender affirmation. Where such constraints formerly applied to the young, this law would apply them to everyone.
