Supreme Court Denies Republican Attempt to Throw Out Some Provisional Ballots in Pennsylvania

Rejecting an appeal, the Supreme Court kept in place a Pennsylvania court ruling that allows people to cast a provisional ballot if their mail-in ballot is rejected due to technicalities.

Republican National Committee, state GOP and the Republican-majority Butler County election board wanted provisional ballots denied when postal voters make minor errors such as putting their signature in the witness box instead of the voter signature box on the mail-in ballot.
