Social Security Cuts Disability Support Payments

The Social Security Administration cut Supplemental Security Income, which primarily helps disabled people with limited income and resources.

SSI is paid at the start of each month to “people with limited income and resources who are blind, age 65 or older, or have a qualifying disability. Children with disabilities or who are blind may also get SSI.” It isn’t especially generous but it does help those in dire financial need due to disabling conditions.
