Senator Pursues Release of Constituent Kilmar Abrego Garcia from El Salvador

Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) asked for a meeting with El Salvador President Nayib Bukele “to discuss the illegal detention of my constituent, Kilmar Abrego Garcia” and he will personally go to El Salvador if Abrego Garcia “is not home by midweek.”

Van Hollen’s meeting request was made through a letter delivered ahead of Bukele’s scheduled meeting with Donald Trump.
