Second Fighter Jet in 8 Days Falls Off Aircraft Carrier Harry S. Truman

An F/A-18F Super Hornet went into the sea after it failed to catch the arresting wire when landing on the aircraft carrier USS Harry S. Truman, the second such $67 million aircraft lost by the carrier in 8 days.

The two aviators in the jet ejected and survived with minor injuries.
