People’s March Ahead of Inauguration
Revamped and renamed since the 2017 Women’s March that started it, people again rallied in Washington DC and other cities around the USA ahead of the inauguration of DJT.
Although attendance was much lower this year (police estimate 25,000 in DC, compared with an estimated million in 2017), events have diversified to include pro-science and pro-climate action demonstrations. The March has also spawned widespread grassroots organizing.
