Northwestern University Receives 100+ Federal Stop Work Orders

| 0

Northwestern University received more than 100 stop-work orders within a week for federal projects, amid word from news media that $790 million in federal funding was about to be frozen for the university.

No official word had been sent yet from the federal level about funding, and no explanation for a freeze or the stop-work orders was forthcoming.

Affected research includes wearable devices, robotics, nanotechnology, foreign military training, Parkinson’s disease and much more.

The university subsequently decided to continue with the research as best it can despite the cutoff of federal funding. Northwestern has an endowment worth more than $14 billion.

To avoid digging too deeply into endowments, some universities under siege by Donald Trump’s regime are issuing bonds or borrowing privately.
