NIH Suddenly Ends Studies on Vaccine Hesitancy and Uptake

The National Institutes of Health suddenly cut off as of 11 March 2025 at least 33 studies of reasons behind reluctance to take vaccines and strategies to improve vaccination rates.

Nine more grants may be modified or trimmed.

NIH is also reconsidering projects in regard to messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines and any collaborations on any issue between NIH and international partners.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is a prominent vaccine skeptic, although his own children are vaccinated.
