Musk Team Invade NOAA HQ on Project 2025 Mission

A team from Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, which is a subgroup of a White House IT team, entered headquarter of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration targeting programs in line with Project 2025.

As in other departments and agencies, the team bulled past security and went directly for control of IT systems. Although only Congress has legal authority to abolish NOAA or reduce its budget, the team began setting up to do it anyway.

Project 2025 calls for NOAA to be “broken up and downsized,” with key elements such as the National Weather Service privatized. Weather advisories would become available only to those who pay extra instead of being available to all.
