Miami Herald Gets List of Florida Concentration Camp Inmates

The Miami Herald obtained and published a list of people incarcerated in poor conditions at a concentration camp of cages in tents in the Florida Everglades.

The facility is cheerfully called Alligator Alcatraz by Donald Trump, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and their followers.

People detained there generally disappear unless and until they are able to call someone on the outside. They do not show up in the Immigration and Customs Enforcement lookup system. The Miami Herald emphasized that its list of 747 people could not be regarded as comprehensive and that more inmates are being added. The newspaper looked up each of them. Only 40 were in the ICE system, most falsely listed as being located somewhere else. Three were listed as “call field office.”
