Lawsuit Seeks to Restore Data Privacy & Security in Federal Systems
Electronic Privacy Information Center, Democracy Forward and a federal worker jointly sued Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, a subset of a White House IT team, to end DOGE’s breaches of federal data privacy and security.
The suit in federal District Court especially focuses on computer systems for payments (Department of the Treasury) and personnel data (Office of Personnel Management).
shut down unlawful access to agency data systems and restore the privacy and security safeguards that the Elon Musk-run DOGE has blatantly violated.
