UK Government Refuses to Authorize Bee-Killing Pesticide

Neonicotinoid pesticide, which is banned in the EU due because it is highly toxic to bees, is denied permission for emergency use in the UK for the first time in 5 years.

The previous Tory government repeatedly authorized used of such pesticide against the advice of expert agencies. This year, the Labour government refuses to authorize it based on the advice of expert agencies.
