Head of FAA Resigns with Years Left in Term

Michael Whitaker stepped down from his post as head of the Federal Aviation Administration years before the end of his appointed term.

His departure was announced in December under pressure from Donald Trump. This will relieve pressure on Elon Musk’s company SpaceX which has repeatedly been fined and had a license delayed by the FAA due to safety issues.
