GSA Fires Dozens at Technology Transformation Service

| 0

Dozens of probationary employees and short-term staffers were fired abruptly from Technology Transformation Services, which is part of the General Services Administration.

These workers have fewer employment protections than those who have been in their jobs more than a couple of years. Managers met with the workers individually to try to get them to accept the “Fork in the Road” “deferred resignation” program, which has no funding appropriated by Congress.

Fired workers include skilled technologists from the private sector on assignment for a few years and workers from an early-career government fellowship. It appears that more than 10% of the agency’s staff were fired.

Their last workday is expected to be 7 March 2025.
