German Court Orders Musk’s X to Hand Over Data about Political Content

A German court ordered Elon Musk’s social media platform X to immediately allow researchers to access data about its political content ahead of the country’s election.

The European Commission is concerned about X not doing enough to prevent election interference through its platform and perhaps violating the Digital Services Act. German government is investigating whether Musk’s support of the far-right party Alternative für Deutschland through personal activities and his extraordinary reach on X constitutes an illegal donation to the party.
