France’s Macron Fact Checks DJT in the Oval Office in Front of Media

France’s President Emmanuel Macron fact checked Donald Trump in the Oval Office in front of media when Trump lied about European support of Ukraine in its resistance to invasion by Russia.

Trump said Europe’s financial assistance to Ukraine was in the form of loans that Ukraine would have to repay, so Europe had less at risk than the USA because they will “get their money back.”

Macron physically touched Trump’s arm to stop him. Then Macron corrected the record. Money Europe gave to Ukraine to fight Russia’s invasion is theirs to keep. If any money is returned, it will be taken from frozen Russian assets.
